How To Make Ice Cream

Everybody wants ice cream especially on a hot summer day. No need to buy ice cream on stores, you can actually make one at home and it’s fun and easy! What’s more, you can choose whatever flavor you want. How to do it? Read on. Making homemade ice cream is fun and easy, even kids could actually do it! But there are three different methods in making ice cream, it’s up to you what method you want to use. BY FREEZER This is the oldest method of making ice cream, using just your refrigerator freezer. Simply follow the recipe you have and adjust
the ingredients to your own taste. This is one good thing about making your own ice cream, you get to follow the amount of sweetness and flavor you desire. When you are done with the mixture of ingredients, you can now put it in the freezer. Putting the mixture in a shallow bowl or container is the best way to freeze your ice cream as it allows the mixture to freeze quickly and seal it tightly. A common complaint about making ice cream using your freezer is that it gets hard and icy. You just have to check your ice cream after 20 minutes or so after putting it into the freezer. If you notice a thick layer of ice crystals in the container, scrape it using a wooden spoon or spatula and then beat the mixture thoroughly to prevent the further formation of ice crystals and to make it smooth and easy to scoop. You may have to repeat this step after two to three times until it becomes creamy and smooth, depending on the ingredients used and the temperature of your freezer. After freezing it overnight, you can now enjoy your homemade ice cream! BY FREEZER BAG This is a method where you make your ice cream using a plastic bag. The plastic bag used here is thicker than the usual plastic bags we use for packaging purposes. It is also known as zipper freezer bags or
zip-loc bags. It has a secured seal to prevent the mixture from leaks. After choosing the recipe for your ice cream, mix well all the ingredients needed. We will use two freezer bags to make the ice cream. One freezer bag should be smaller than the other. Put the mixture in the small freezer bag and seal it tightly. Fill the big freezer bag half full of ice and add rock salt. Place the small freezer bag inside the large one and seal it then shake until it forms into ice cream. In order for the mixture to freeze, we use rock salt. Salt plays an important role in freezing here. Why? When salt comes into contact with ice, the freezing point of the ice is lowered. By lowering the temperature at which ice is frozen, the mixture can freeze enough to make it into ice cream. You can now enjoy eating it! BY AN ICE CREAM MAKER This is the easiest and most convenient method of making ice cream. There are different types and models of ice cream maker to choose from, but the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker is widely used by many because of its good quality. Ice cream maker comes in a freezer bowl. This freezer bowl should be frozen before using it that means you should put it in your refrigerator freezer 24 hours before you plan to make an ice cream. Choose your preferred ice cream recipe. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, stir in low heat until well blended. Let it cool then pour the mixture into the Cuisinart ice cream maker freezer bowl. Turn on your Cuisinart ice cream maker and allow it to mix for 20 to 25 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Voila! You can right away eat your ice cream! If you desire, you can pour ice cream from Cuisinart ice cream maker freezer bowl to a freezer container and freeze it for 2 hours in the refrigerator freezer before serving.
